Flap
holsters issued to the soldiers during the percussion revolver era were
designed to be worn butt forward on the right side. The primary weapon was
the sword worn on the left side and normally wielded with the right arm.
Because of the blade length only a cross draw was practical. Pistols were
not issued to soldiers whose primary weapon was the musket with bayonet,
although many were privately purchased or liberated from the battlefield.
The Union regulations called for black holsters. Brown for the Confederacy
was official, but militia units were not subject to uniform regulations.
These replicas are made in U.S.A.
If you are not in uniform and are right handed you may be more comfortable
with an LH model. Flap and semi flap holster were popular for civilian
wear during this period also. These are made without insignia and are
suitable for period uniform or civilian costume. $33.50 each.
Suitable
holsters for the giant Walkers are hard to find. Your choice of black or
russet brown, right hand or left hand. Remember RH is butt forward on the
right hip and LH is butt forward on the left hip. $41.75 each.

"Our main agenda is to have all guns banned. We must use whatever means possible. It doesn't matter if you have to distort the facts or even lie. Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed."
